Welcome to Kingdom Hearts Myriad, thank you for taking the time to look into our site, we greatly appreciate your presence. If you're here to register then it's highly recommended that you take a look at what's listed here in the rules before you start your character creating.
1. Well first off, we prefer that you RP in “Story Format” or third person. Many people write in third person and it is easier for the flow of the story line if it is all kept the same. That means you do not use an asterisk (*) or anything else to mark when your character is doing an action. Story Format is best described as writing a novel, so you would treat your posts In Character as such. Use quotations when your character is talking. Also, please highlight what your character is saying in a color like in the example below. It makes it much easier to see when your character is talking and/or doing an action.
Example: "Donald! Goofy!" yelled Sora as he began to sprint through the shallow waters of the beach towards the two.
2. RESPECT EACH OTHER! I cannot stress enough how often I myself have gone to a new site and more often than not some jerk wound up ruining the experience of the RP for me, simply because they had no respect for their fellow members. So I've made this into a rule, which should extend into rule 3 as well, and that is pretty simple: respect one another and treat each other how you would like to be treated by others. It makes the board a lot less stressful if we're all on good terms with one another, and it allows the story to progress further without hindrance. If you find that you have a problem with another member on the site, then please report it to staff and we will take care of the problem the best we can.
3. Keep this place Flame Free. Flaming is showing blatant disregard for the board’s rules, a staff member, or toward another member of the site. If you have a question or suggestion concerning the board, either post it in the Feedback section or let the staff know about it via private message. We will respond.
4. No one liners. One paragraph or one sentence will not suffice here, because this is an intermediate to advanced level RP site. The required post length from any of your characters must be at least 2 five sentence paragraphs. Let me tell you why this is a rule. Being descriptive in Fantastical Settings is really important. On top of that, in any good story, the characters are the primary focus. Every post you make should be filled with your character's thoughts, actions, and perceptions... and all new scenery should be described in detail. If you achieve in these goals, its impossible to write less than two (2) full paragraphs. Now, we may be lenient on this rule, if a post is really well written and you don't make a habit of it... however, you should never expect that we will be.
5. God-Modding is absolutely forbidden, and anyone caught in this act shall be given necessary punishment in consequence for their failure to uphold Rule #5.
- First offense shall be a warning and a PM from a staff member.
- Second offense shall be a three day ban from the forum.
- Third offense is a permanent band from the forum.
6. NO Plagiarism! If you are lacking creativity to the point where you feel it is alright to take someone else's words and post them as your own on this site, then you are in dire need of being removed from our community here. We will not tolerate plagiarists on this board, and as such will see fit to remove you if you choose to become one. There is only one consequence for plagiarism on this forum, and that is a permanent ban, no ifs ands or buts. If you are bringing information such as a canon character from another site then you must be able to show proof that the work is yours and that you are the sole author of the material in question.
7. You cannot kill a character during the course of the game without the player's permission, regardless of whether they are a canon or an OC. If someone wants their character to die, they may allow someone to kill him/her, but it'd be nice if there was a good reason for them to die.
8. Activity Checks are a way to remove inactive members. They start on the 25th of every month and last till the 30th of the month in the Activity Check Board. Everyone must post in it or pm an admin. If a member/player is inactive for the Activity Check, then their account could be deleted. If there is an extenuating circumstance that you think is a viable exception, PM the admin and he will determine based on that information. Don't wait to do this after the account has been deleted.
9. Don't start a story that is basically a fan fic of your character and close the thread so that only you are posting in it. If you need to create a back story for your made-up character, put the information in the character bio, or if you want it to be in a thread, ask someone to join and RP with you to develop it. Generally speaking, the canons already have back-stories, so don't rewrite another.
10. The C-box is a privilege, and follows all the rules found in this list. If we find that it is being abused, then we reserve the right to take it down to prevent things from getting out of hand. So please, follow the same rules in the cbox as you would on the boards. 11. You may apply for staff when there are openings. To inquire about open staff positions, you must pm an administrator.
12. HAVE FUN WHILE YOU'RE HERE!
13. Please specify at the top of the thread in it's title if it is OPEN, CLOSED or INVITE ONLY. However you are not allowed to place PLOT within the title unless it is approved by a Staff member via PM first. This way we can stay on top of the official plot line, can continue to make it a better experience for you our members, and can keep things organized easier.
14. The Staff Notification area is for stuff that needs to be brought to the staff's attention; things such as complaints, suggestions and fresh ideas for possible plot pitching. Don't worry, we will check into this area frequent enough that your voices will not go unheard
15. If any member finds any means of going around a rule and using it to their advantage, staff reserves the right to take action. Such an exploitation example is voting more than once in a serious poll for the site. If anyone catches anyone exploiting the rules, please inform a staff member so that actions can be taken and the situation can be resolved appropriately.
